Sims said" I am very pleased with this new option for buyer's. In recent months our buying clientele have been coming from much further afield. This gives them choices and I believe that is a good thing. Now they do not have the added expense of flying or driving to the Auction if they do not want to. They can bid online right from our website on the comfort of their own computer. Clients do not have to give up their valuable time, which in some case can be many days travel to bid on a property they may or may not win. Now all they need to do is register online and stay online during the auction until they have reached their highest bid. They can even place pre-bids prior to the auction if they are going to be away from their computer while the auction is in process". Online bidding has been around for a while but with the increase in awareness, mostly helped by EBay, a large number of Auction Houses are making this option available to their buyers.
