Sun Shines on the Thompson Carr Team

The Auction conducted by Thompson Carr Auctions this past weekend was a huge success for 'Doc' Stanley. The auction held on site at 2089 Sims Road, Dandridge, TN of a 4800 sq ft home on 7 acres, 4 additional tracts of land and quality personal property. Included home furnishings, tools, equipment and antiques and surpassed expectations. Todd Thompson, State Champion Auctioneer, commented after the auction, "this is a clear sign that using the Auction method of selling is working, even in a down housing market". The weather co-operated after a wet week and buyer's turned out in full force. Bidding on the home was fast and furious then stalled for a short time before jumping again, finally the hammer came down at a bid price of $305,000. After auctioning several more tracts of land belonging to Ken and Gayle Stanley, two auction rings continued the auction of personal property with the auction finally coming to an end at around 4pm. Several buyer's commented they love to come to auctions held by Thompson Carr, "lunch is catered and it's a fun day out" " where else can you shop 'til you drop and be entertained, Todd and Dale and their team are real professionals". Dale Carr of Thompson Carr also commented "if you work your passion then it is easy to smile and have fun while your doing it, we are blessed to have a group of people who enjoy the auction atmosphere".
