Selling a Hotel at Auction?

Thompson Carr Auctions is making a statement with Hotel Auction Sales! In the past 18 months they have taken 6 hotels to auction with 4 more in the pipeline. Selling a Hotel or Motel at auction is a specialized field which Thompson Carr seem to have found the knack for. With total sales reaching $20,000,000 this has turned out to be a better than average year. Thompson Carr Auctions is not just a local company anymore either with auctions from Kentucky to Alabama. The dynamic team at Thompson Carr leaves no stone unturned to find prospective buyers for the Hotels and Motels. They carry out marketing on a local, regional, national and even an international level, have managed to obtain lists of Hotel Owners and Investors from all over the United States assuring the seller that they have done there due diligence. "In our experience a Hotel/Motel is most often purchased by an existing Hotel/Motel owner. The buyers tend to group together and buy percentages each to make up the whole" says Todd Thompson, partner at Thompson Carr. "This is obviously something that works for them as we see this model repeated over and over again". Upcoming at the end of this month will see the team at Exit 52 on I75 in Athens, TN selling a 110 unit motel on 9+acres with restaurant. With E-Z on and off exits from Interstate 75, Interstate billboard and exit signage this is sure to prove to be one of their best auctions yet. The Travelodge will go under the hammer on July 30th 2009 Onsite at 1pm.

Hotel Auction sets Thompson Carr above the rest!

ABSOLUTE AUCTION of the Sleep Inn - Inn and Suites Hotel in Gatlinburg, TN sets new highs for Thompson Carr Auctions. Thursday April 23rd @ 10:30am sees the sun shining and the Thompson Carr Team gathered in Gatlinburg TN for another of their famous Hotel Auctions. The Sleep Inn in Gatlinburg is the latest in a long line of Hotel/Motel auctions for this Auction company. "We thought this Hotel might prove a small challenge for us" says State Champion Auctioneer, Todd Thompson, "in this current economic climate where regular Real Estate Sales are hitting all time lows, we thought this Hotel might not hit our mark. The opposite occurred with bidding starting at 1.5 million a little tentative a first, the bidding soon escalated to over 2 million with the whose who of hotel ownership trying to get in on the game. The bidding finally stopped at $2,892,500 with an increase of just $2,500 the Sleep Inn had new ownership. "I can't believe we got it by just increasing our bid by $2,500" says Mikey Patel one of the new owners of this prestigious tourist spot Hotel. Dale Carr, the other half of Thompson Carr Auctions said" with the property being on a lease we thought the bidding may be discounted as you can see that is not what happened" Gatlinburg, TN is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the #1 visited National Park in the States with over 9,000,000 visitors per year. I guess the tourist have to stay somewhere. Within hours the Thompson Carr Auctions office was a buzz with their next Hotel Auction booking. Owners of the Parkway Inn & Suites had commissioned them to Auction their Hotel on June 4th @ 1pm. The Parkway Inn and Suites is located in downtown Gatlinburg, TN on the main throughfare known as the Parkway. Also within hours the Thompson Carr office had received 2 more calls about booking two more Hotel Auctions. Thompson Carr Auction now has a proven track record as the number one Auction Company for Hotel Auctions.

Real Estate Auction Update - Mtn Crest SD Sells Great!

Thompson Carr Auctions conducted the Auction of Mountain Crest Subdivision in Dandridge, Tennessee over this past weekend. The Auction was a great success with many lots selling in the $50's. Dale Carr co-owner of Thompson Carr Auctions stated Saturday after the Auction "We are very pleased with the results, in recent months there has been a great deal of speculation on whether the Real Estate market has hit bottom yet. We feel this Auction reflects an up turn in the Real Estate in this area". Saturday was unseasonable cold for this time of year in this area with a high expected of only 62 degrees. Even with that the Auction staff turned up with co-ordinated dress and cheerful faces on, and rallied the onlookers. With a Free Lunch of Chilli provided by a local church and heaters provided by the Auction Company there was plenty for everyone to eat and plenty of warm air for all the prospective buyer's. Thompson Carr Auctions has changed their marketing strategy in this economic -climate and appear to be attracting buyer's from further afield. On Saturday their were buyer's from as far away as Florida, Michigan, Kentucky and Alabama all eager to purchase lots in this subdivision close to Dandridge Golf and Country Club. "We are so excited" said Todd Thompson, the other half of Thompson Carr Auctions "now we get to see our work come full circle and see all our efforts pay off". You can reach Thompson Carr Auctions for all your Auction needs at http://www.thompsoncarr.com/ or call them on 877-497-3523 to start the Auction process for your property.

Thompson Carr Auctions announces new e-bay style online auctions.

Thompson Carr Auctions has been making yet more changes to their over all structure and seeing the immediate benefits of online auctions. Named Tennessee’s first “Complete” online auction center, Thompson Carr Auctions E-bay-Style auction center allows businesses and individuals alike to buy and sell everything from antiques to automobiles and real estate! We encourage you to utilize our new auction center where as a buyer you are sure to find great bargains through a convenient search method and as a seller you can sell anything imaginable in any possible category to viewers around the world!

Products are viewed by a larger audience when sold at an online auction. Internet visitors include people bidding and ‘re-bidding’ on certain items as well as sellers with new products to add, thus resulting in bigger and better profit margins.

From a business owner's point of view, it is also an effective way to manage excess inventory or discontinued products while making extra income or even a profit depending on how much people will bid for unsold inventory. An online auction is an excellent way to generate instant sales and it can also be used as an effective promotional tool in today's market.

The Thompson Carr Online Auctions movement of buying and selling online will only enhance the success rate that all clients expect. Staying ahead of the auction game and using current technology keep Thompson Carr Auctions committed to moving forward.
